There are a variety of different storefront manufacturers that provide commercial entry doors and windows systems. The systems can range from simple 1 3/4″ x 4″ stick framed metal systems comprised of aluminum extrusions to complex all glass systems. Our installers are trained to install a wide range of thes commercial storefront systems available. We recently complete installation of two completely different style projects in the same week.
Project 1: All Glass Storefront

Hardware Systems: CR Laurence
The first was an all glass, frameless commercial glass storefront with 1/2″ glass the runs floor to ceiling. We used “U” channel that was embedded into the concrete slab and buried into the wood header on a project in Albany. The glass sits in a brushed stainless steel channel while the door is operated by a ADA compliant floor mounted closer that is mounted in a box in the concrete slab. This particular project uses patch fittings and pivot hardware from CR Laurence for a very clean look. The doors have all glass transoms stacked over them. The all glass look is achieved by using very minmal hardware and most of the hardware is concealed.

Project 2: Bronze Aluminum Storefront

Storefront System: Arcadia Norcal
We designed a new commercial storefront entry system for Royal Electric’s new store in San Rafael. The door was fabricated to fit within the existing concrete wall that a roll up garage door sat in. We used lineals from Arcadia and built the storefront system with standard door sizes and custom fit the windows into the existing opening. The door featured continous hinges (roton hinge) to help prevent the doors from being bent or blown due to the high wind that the property was subject to in Marin County.
The metal is Bronze Anodized, 1 3/4″ x 4″ storefront, with 1/4″ Clear Tempered in glass installed in it.
